Men's Breakfast & Bible Study

robin_oakeWith so much of church stereotypically geared for women, at Gorsley we want to make sure the men don’t miss out. On the third Saturday of every month, the doors open early for breakfast and Bible study.

A hearty cooked breakfast is served at 7.45am, followed by an engaging Bible study led by Robbie Hall. With each session guaranteed to finish by 9.00am, the rest of your day will be free for all those Saturday jobs. If you’re a bloke, you are welcome to join us!

We are currently in our second Bible study series, looking at the book of Romans, which is perhaps the most important book in the Bible.

dave_chawnerIf we understand the book of Romans, we can begin to understand how a holy God can get an unholy person into the holiness of God’s presence, without compromising his holiness.” Pastor T. Nelson

As well as the monthly Breakfast & Bible Study, guest speakers are invited to share their testimonies; these events often attract up to 100 men – that’s a lot of fried eggs!

Previous speakers have been:

  • Colonel Robbie Hall – ‘From Bombs to Baptism
  • David Chawner – Chaplain to Wasps Rugby
  • Robin Oake – Former Chief Constable & author of ‘Father Forgive: The Forgotten ‘F’ Word’

The study notes for this and past months can be viewed and/or downloaded from our resources area.
